I opened a new pack of paper today and found it is this super heavy stuff. You can feel the texture on the white side, and the color side squeaks like a balloon when you try and crease with your finger. It is about twice as heavy as printer paper but still holds a fold nicely, perfect for folding cubes! So I folded one.
More optional math: The pack of paper was 10$ for 200 sheets. Middles: 6 units. 1 sheet makes 2 units Edges: 12 units. 1 sheet makes 2 units Yellows: 24 units. 1 sheet make 4 units Corners: 8 units. 1 sheet makes 4 units It took 5 hours of folding and 1 hour of assembly to make the cube. A: Not counting the 5 hours of folding, what is the material cost of the cube? B: If the folder was paid $6.25 an hour, how much would the cube cost to make? |

A: 85c worth of paper.
5 hours x $6.25 per hour = $31.25
$31.25 + $0.85 = $32.10
B: $32.10 worth of materials and time.
